Get to Know Us
The Hertford Lodge, established in 1907 and named after Hugh de Gray Conway Seymour, 6th Marquis of Hertford, boasts a rich history in Masonic traditions and community service. Consecrated in Sutton Coldfield with Charles Hercules Reynolds as its first Master, the lodge reflects the Marquis's distinguished roles in military, political, and Masonic realms. It highlights the significant Hertford Coat of Arms, tracing the Seymour family's lineage. Owning the historic Town Hall since 1903, the lodge has seen varied membership and actively engages in social and community events. It stands as a testament to enduring Masonic values and community involvement.

Hertford Lodge meet at The Masonic Hall, Mill Street Sutton Coldfield. On the second Friday of January, February, April and October.
We also meet with our partners and friends several other times throughout the year for social events. Whenever we meet we try and raise money for charity. Our main social event is on the 3rd Saturday in January when other Masons and their friends and relatives join us for a black tie evening where we usually have a 3 course meal and dance the evening away with of course the well known Hertford tombola.
